I obtained both of my diplomas at the Technical University of Budapest, the first as an engineering manager specialized in environmental management, the second as an industrial designer. Between 2004-2011 Pillars ltd., since 2012 as an independent consultant I deal with development policy and with the planning and management of EU-funded projects, mainly in the area of sustainable transport, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

I enjoy applying my experiences in community projects as well. In 2009 I took part in the organisation and management of the Green Bikes for Peace and Mobility Week Budapest international projects. To promote social innovation, civil cooperation and knowledge management we organized the Forumforma workshop and presentation series. Within the Challenge Europe Programme of the British Council, I became a Climate Advocate. Since the programme is over we continue our activities within the Climate Embassy Association. In 2011 I participated in the Pioneers-into-Practice programme of the Climate-KIC as a pioneer. In 2012 I became a local co-mentor in the same programme.

My favourite “non-professional” activity is the choir, where besides singing sometimes we perform an opera or organize a cultural programme-series to make the local cultural vibe even more exciting.

Our pioneers’ summer assignment was to develop on concepts of climate-innovation. Our group formed around the idea of designing simple games for climate-change related education of children - and thus extend the already existing Get Inspired by the Elements toolkit of Mindspace.

“Simple things are the one that work best if you want to involve a lot of people”, explains Dominika Tihanyi. She is a landscape architect with a particular interest in urban environmental and social regeneration. She carried for her PhD a project of acupunctural artistic and cultural activities in the 8 th district to introduce social flexibility.

Then Nemecsek resumed his normal walk, but contrary to what he had done in the last 25 years, he took the way to the left, as it had done in the past three months, since he had discovered that curious garden that had been springing in a corner of his XIXth district.
